When your alarm went off this morning, what did you do? Honestly?
Did you jump out of bed or hit the snooze bar once…twice…three times? If you did hit the snooze bar, how did feel when you finally got up? Frazzled…Stressed…Rushed…Irritable…Late?
There have been countless studies on successful people, and one of the most common qualities is they have great morning routines. So…what about you?
Most successful people will tell you that seizing your morning is paramount to success. Why? Because successful people know that if you wait until the end of the day to do those meaningful, but not urgent, activities in life like praying, exercising, meditating, reading, studying, planning, and visualizing, it won’t happen. The only way to make sure those things happen is to do them first, before life gets thrown at you.
Not that I have it all figured out by any means, but what I do know is that when I stick to my morning routine, I typically have a good day. On the other-hand, when my morning routine sucks, my day typically sucks.
So…what’s your morning routine? Do you have a good one or is it just a cup of coffee and a bagel as you go running out the door? If that’s working for you, great. If not…try shaking things up and grab your morning by the horns. Own it!
